MacGyver season 2 episode 21 spoilers: Mac held hostage
Consider MacGyver season 2 episode 21 to be an episode different from the others for many different reasons, beginning simply with this: You’re going to have a chance to see over the course of this episode a different sort of case for Angus MacGyver. He’s not going to be able to help anyone else … mostly because of the fact that he will be far too busy trying to help himself. He’s going to be stuck in a difficult position in Puerto Rico — and to think, this will happen right when he was in the midst of trying to do some good when it comes to hurricane recovery.
Before we get into the finer details here, can we give MacGyver some credit for trying to do something relevant to what’s been going on in the world, while encouraging some charitable acts along the way? Puerto Rico still needs help, though it’s not the sort of thing that necessarily is getting a lot of conversation at the moment. Hopefully, this episode shines a further light on that in the midst of some of the other craziness that is going to happen — and there is going to be plenty of that.

“Wind + Water” – While MacGyver is in Puerto Rico helping his friend rebuild his hurricane-damaged home, he is taken hostage in the bank his friend manages when robbers attempt to steal $2 million, on MACGYVER, Friday, April 20 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
There are only two ways we can imagine Mac getting out of this predicament — either he is going to be able to rely on his incredibly-unique skill set in order to get himself out of this position; or, he is going to have to rely on the Phoenix Foundation for help. Maybe this is one of those occasions in which the students become the masters — they’re going to need just about everything at their disposal in order to sure that he makes it out of there in one piece.

One more thing to keep in mind going into this episode — on the other side of it, there are only two more episodes this season! That means that the writers are going to need to go all out on the surprises in this installment to build towards the finale.
