The Good Doctor season 2: Will Lea return?
The good news is that Lea is for sure going to be back for another run of episodes; for a little more on that, just take a look at what show executive producer David Shore had to say to IndieWire:
“Lea’s going to be back. I can tell you that … She’s fantastic. She has a spark and an energy that is really wonderful to watch. If you place him in a ‘relationship’ with any woman, people want that for him. We want him to find a relationship. We want him to find love. It’s got to be with the right woman. It’s got to be with the right person who understands him and accepts him and for sure doesn’t pity him, recognizes all that he is and we got that from Lea almost straight away, I think.”
There is something great that comes with getting more Lea and having that relationship blossom with something more. It almost feels like, for the sake of the show’s long-term future, it couldn’t come to easy for Shaun. Having her leave injects a real-world element into their relationship and shows that while she cared about him, they weren’t at the place where she could commit to him in the long-term.

As for the future for Kenny, Shore has not confirmed one way or another if Chris D’Elia will be back. We wouldn’t mind seeing it, but at this point this is a guy who really to get his comeuppance.
