Shadowhunters season 3 episode 2 video: The party of warlocks
Take, for example, seeing the introduction of Lorenzo Rey into the series. Maybe the character himself is not particularly funny, but meeting him comes about in the midst of a party that is thrown traditionally in celebration of the appointing of a new High Warlock. With Magnus no longer holding the position he now has the challenge of basically standing around while others congratulate Lorenzo on the honor. Alex is with Magnus as his date, but very quickly feels as though he is a fish out of water, surrounded by people who are not altogether trusting of Shadowhunters and are certainly not used to seeing them around.
For all Malec fans out there, the beautiful thing about this scene is seeing how supportive and trusting that they are with each other; no matter what is going on within the outside world, the two always seem to be happy to be there supporting one another through thick and thin. Given how important Lorenzo could be for the immediate future on the series, these two are going to need to be able to rely on each other.

The other part of the sneak peek below is featured a little bit more about Simon and Maia, especially in terms of how Maia is dealing with some prejudice coming her way over her relationship with Simon. Let’s just say that she is having none of it when it comes to some of the comments that are being fired off against her. She’s standing up for Simon for sure, but to go along with that she is also absolutely standing up for herself.
