Lucifer season 3 spoilers: What is Maze willing to do in order to return to Hell?

Lucifer season 3

Given that Monday night’s new Lucifer season 3 episode is going to feature prominently the character of Maze, doesn’t the time feel right to have a little bit more conversation around her? We certainly like to think so. This is a character who could still potentially bring a lot of interesting content to the table and with that, we’re more than excited to see just where her story goes over the remainder of the season … provided of course that she makes it through Monday’s “Orange is the New Maze.”

If you haven’t heard too much about this episode just yet you can do that over at the link here. The story for the hour is for the most part simple to describe: Maze is accused of committing a most grisly crime and as this episode continues along, it is going to be up to some other characters in order to figure out what is really going on here.

Beyond all of this, there is another interesting question to ponder: What is Maze’s ultimate motivation? More than that, what does she really want to do when the dust settles? These are questions that the series does want you speculating on for some time and in the event you want some other news all about that, co-showrunner Joe Henderson had the following to say recently to TVLine:

“Maze certainly wants to get back to Hell … But to get there, she may need to make her own deal with a devil. And the question will be if the cost is too high even for her….”

That quote does raise a number of different questions, but the one that is causing our head to spin perhaps more so than any other is simply this: Who is this “devil”? It certainly hints at the possibility of some other characters we haven’t met just yet. Also, we’re interested in seeing precisely what is a cost that this character is not interested in paying.
