MacGyver season 2 episode 16: More ‘wedding’ images
To help make up for the wait, CBS has been kind enough to share a few different details about what’s coming in the first episode back. In the past, CarterMatt shared a photo of Bozer and Riley tying the knot — or at least pretending to do just that. This is all a part of an undercover mission, one where these characters are going to pretend to be married couples in order to do a little bit of investigating. Bozer and Riley are one couple, whereas MacGyver and Leanna are the next. You can see two photos showing off this new “couple” in a new post on show executive producer Peter M. Lenkov’s official Instagram.
There are some funny things when it comes to how these pairings came about, mostly in terms of Bozer’s current romantic entanglement with Leanna. It’s something like this that makes you wonder if it was intentional that he wasn’t paired with Leanna — though instead, he’s with a woman who he used to be in love with. That’s probably better given the circumstances, but not by all that much. We do still wonder if being out in the field with Riley, especially in this capacity, could reignite some of those old feelings.

Meanwhile, we also do wonder how this would’ve all shaken down if Cage wasn’t off in Australia recovering from being shot. Would she and Bozer been paired together? That seems likely given the difference in experience they have, and it also could have been incredibly funny. (Then again, isn’t Bozer with just about everybody funny?)
