MacGyver season 2 episode 16 spoilers: The honeymoon case

MacGyver season 2 episode 16 is the first episode of the series after the Olympics hiatus — based on some of what we’re hearing right now, it looks like the show is returning with a rather fun episode! There are two things that are almost always going to make us smile as a television viewer: Episodes of a show that feature characters going undercover and, beyond that, episodes that also feature characters in some bizarre romantic situations. It definitely feels as though this episode is going to be fun just based on the idea of MacGyver going undercover with Bozer’s girlfriend while Bozer himself teams up with Riley.

Below, the MacGyver season 2 episode 16 synopsis offers up some additional news as to what is coming up:

“Hammock + Balcony” – MacGyver, Leanna, Riley and Bozer pose as honeymoon couples at a resort in order to gain information about a Serbian war criminal from his newly married son. Also, Bozer wonders if Matty knows about his relationship with Leanna, and Jack recruits Elwood (Billy Baldwin) to help him break into Matty’s home, on MACGYVER, Friday, March 2 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Now, we’ve been a self-admitted Bozer / Riley ‘shipper for a rather-long time, and as a result of that we’re hoping that this episode sparks a little more chemistry between the two of them. Yet, at the same time we don’t want Bozer to actually cheat on his girlfriend outside of the mission. See our conundrum? We just want this to be a stepping stone for down the road.

As for MacGyver and Leanna, this is mostly just interesting because of the fact that we haven’t seen these two characters together in such a capacity. This should be fun, as should be watching the dysfunctional duo of Elwood and Jack working together. Can you imagine just how Matty would react to the news that Jack broke into her house? Let’s just say that we don’t think that she would be altogether happy about it. (Maybe the two could find out something more about Matty’s history with MacGyver; that’s what we really want to know about at the moment.)
