Shadowhunters season 3 video: Is Jace really the same?
In this new video (which you can see over at TVLine), you can start to see a little bit of the aftermath from the big storyline at the end of season 2 in which Jace was brought back. While he may seem on the surface to be pretty much the same guy, there’s something underneath the surface that is going to prove troublesome — very trouble. It’s the sort of thing that should make you worried about the character, given that he may not be of his own mind. To call this a significant struggle for some of these characters is a dire understatement since they don’t know what Jace is capable of.
Obviously, this is going to cause some significant issues for Clary and Jace — she is going to do whatever she can in order to protect him and support him, but doing that is most likely going to be a little bit easier said than done.

The other problem is simply that Clary is keeping what happened to Jace a secret from many of the other characters, but that sort of strategic is only going to be effective for so long. Some of the other characters are of course going to have questions, and could be spending a good portion of the early going trying to get to the bottom of what is going on. The longer that this all persists, the more dangerous we would say it is. After all, just remember for a moment that secrets don’t ever tend to go that well in the Shadowhunters world! They often lead to an ugly end and plenty of carnage to go along with it.
