Chicago Med season 3: When is Dr. Sarah Reese returning from suspension?

Sarah Reese returning

When is Dr. Sarah Reese returning from her suspension on Chicago Med season 3? We know that there are some out there who may be curious about that based on the way in which this past episode of the NBC show ended. She pepper-sprayed a patient after an intense conversation, one that brought out some of her own fears after what happened with Jack Kellogg and subsequent events. There is nothing wrong with feeling as though things are starting to spiral and you need a little bit of help. However, you do need to realize that it’s okay to ask, and Dr. Reese should know that better than anyone given her suspension.

By the time Reese returns to the hospital for Chicago Med season 3 episode 8 (entitled “Lemons and Lemonade”), we hope she is in a better spot. You can get a little bit more on this episode overall courtesy of the NBC synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below:

DR. CHOI FEELS HELPLESS WHEN A PATIENT REFUSES NECESSARY TREATMENT – Dr. Choi (Brian Tee) struggles to help a woman cope with anorexia. After a two-week suspension, Dr. Reese (Rachel DiPillo) is immediately put to the test upon her return by Dr. Charles (Oliver Pratt). Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) takes a stand when one of his patients is forcibly transferred. Meanwhile, Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) is on a mission to get Dr. Manning’s (Torrey DeVitto) son to like him. S. Epatha Merkerson, Marlyne Barrett, Yaya DaCosta and Norma Kuhling also star. Eddie Jemison and Lorena Diaz guest star.

There is a part of this story that we’ve discussed before on the site, and that is the quest by Dr. Halstead to get the approval of Dr. Manning’s son. That’s mostly a fun storyline to us because it’s really not something that’s been addressed on the show all that much. Even though Manning is a mother, her son barely has much of an impact on the story other than little mentions and references here and there. Take, for example, the car seat that we happened to see on the show rather recently.

As for Dr. Rhodes taking a stand, it’s probably a little early to know just what that is going to look like — mostly because we don’t know why he is taking a stand just yet.
