Blue Bloods season 8 episode 12 sneak peek: Ready for another big Donnie Wahlberg story?

Blue Bloods season 8

Are you ready for another big story for Donnie Wahlberg as Danny Reagan on Blue Bloods season 8? Then we’ve got a feeling that Friday night’s new episode entitled “The Brave” is going to bring you much of what you’re hoping for and then some.

What makes this episode a little bit different than some others is the source of conflict — at its core, this could be an episode about the relationship between Danny and Anthony. The two characters don’t often see eye to eye, and the sneak peek below is a perfect reflection of the tension that is there between the two. Danny chides Anthony about him going to interview a witness on his own, which leads Anthony to fire back at him saying that he has to constantly pay Erin a visit in order to beg for help. Poor Erin is stuck being a peacemaker between the two.

Here’s the thing about Danny Reagan, though — he may disagree with you here and there, but when the chips are down this is the man you want in your corner. He’s going to do everything that he can in order to ensure justice is served. That is, in part, what is at the heart of this episode. CBS has already revealed that at some point during this episode — possibly even during Anthony’s interview with the witness — he ends up getting shot. As a result of this, we are going to end up seeing Danny stop at nothing in order to ensure that there is justice for Anthony. This marks an opportunity for Anthony to potentially see Danny in a different capacity, one where he directly works to help him rather than squaring off against him.

The D.A.’s office and the NYPD may not always see eye to eye, but in the end they want much of the same thing — to get bad guys off of the streets. This episode marks an opportunity to explore that.

Also elsewhere in this episode, be prepared for an important Jamie and Eddie story as they become involved in a stand-off. On one side of this is a prominent police officer, whereas on the other is a developmentally disabled man pretending to be a police officer. This is a situation for them that is going to require a delicate touch.
