The Good Doctor episode 13 spoilers: ‘Seven Reasons’ and Shaun’s big leap

The Good Doctor episode 4

While Dr. Shaun Murphy is getting better relating to and understanding his patients, does that mean that he is going to be perfect on the job? Far from it.

As a matter of fact, The Good Doctor episode 13 coming up entitled “Seven Reasons” could be a prime example of Freddie Highmore’s character trying to make the world a better place but ultimately biting off far more than he can chew. He’ll do his part to get to the bottom of a patient’s injury, but in the process take a big risk that leads to some additional trouble.

The main event for this episode (at least to us) is going to be Shaun putting the hospital at risk, mostly because he may not have the best standing in general at the hospital right now. Remember how in “Islands Part 1” on Monday night he took a little bit of a road trip? While Dr. Glassman covered for him for a while, he’s probably going to be walking more of a tightrope than ever with his return. The hospital also routinely has so many crises that they are trying to balance that sooner or later, something is going to break. In between what’s going on with Dr. Melendez and what’s happening with Shaun, we could be nearing that breaking point. Let’s just hope for a recovery on the other side of the story. By and large, we do think of The Good Doctor as a fairly hopeful show.
