First Celebrity Big Brother USA promo hits the web
For one, there does tend to be some confusion as to what the name of the show is going to be. For a while, it looked like it was Big Brother: Celebrity Edition, a way to differentiate itself from the UK Celebrity Big Brother series that airs twice a year. However, it now seems as though the show’s back to being Celebrity Big Brother again. It’s premiering on February 7, so at least you know that for sure.
As with most Big Brother promos, this gives away nothing other than a reminder that Julie Chen is hosting and that the cast will be “celebrities.” We work in this industry and have since 2009; we can still tell you that there will probably be two or three people in the cast we’ve never heard of. That happens often with shows like this that are celebrity in nature. Not only do you have to find people who are willing to be a part of this show, but also go on the live feeds and live with a bunch of other celebrities. There will probably be about five or six people in there we know and we’ll probably just root for them.
The Celebrity Big Brother season is really only lasting a few weeks, and will be done right around the time the Winter Olympics are. Given how many broadcasts CBS is going to cram in of this show within that span of time we’ll probably be burned out by the time we get there. This should be a fun way to get immersed into Big Brother before the Canadian version of the show returns in March. (Read more about that over here.)
