Major Crimes: times of grieving and danger are on the horizon for the team
“By Any Means Part 1” – A surprise death in the law enforcement community seems to be the work of escaped serial killer, Phillip Stroh (Billy Burke). Ricky Raydor (Ryan Kennedy) helps the division with a difficult search for a Mr. (George Wyner) and Ms. Bechtal, and Emily Raydor (Zarah Mahler) offers Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) some sound advice.
Obviously, Part 1 is going to bring the tears not only for the Major Crimes squad, but also for the fans as this episode will feature Commander Sharon Raydor’s funeral. It will without a doubt be a heartbreaking episode as we will see how each of the characters will handle the loss of such an important and central character. The episode will also introduce Philip Stroh again and being telling his final story. It’s also great to see Emily and Ricky back for their mother’s funeral, but it also breaks our heart knowing they couldn’t say goodbye. It will also be interesting to see how the three siblings will cope. From the synopsis Emily will be helping Rusty. Will she be helping him move on from their mother’s death? It’s a possibility. It’s better for them to lean on each other during this time and to lean on Andy because they all loved her. It would be great to see the four of them be there for each other. No matter what grab a box of tissues Major Crimes fans because it’s going to be a tough episode.
“By Any Means Part 2” – Unable to locate Stroh in the present, the squad looks for answers in his distant past, hunting for the former Ms. Bechtal. Meanwhile, the squad struggles with Chief Mason (Leonard Roberts), and Rusty (Graham Patrick Martin) grows frustrated with forced proximity to Gus (Rene Rosado).
For Part 2, things are going to be more focused on the crime and Stroh. In addition, it appears that the Bechtals are also central to this final arc. Who are they? We can only guess that the are connected to Stroh from his past or they could be a random couple who died and Stroh has been using their identities. However, this does keep us intrigued and interested. Could this connect back to Rusty? Again, definitely anther possibility. We know Stroh is going after people who have a connection to him in order to make sure no one can ever find him.
Despite the sadness that looms on the horizon, this final arc does intrigue us and we hope you all are too.
