When will some Shadowhunters season 3 details be released?

Are you ready for some more Shadowhunters season 3 details to be unveiled? CarterMatt certainly understands that — why wouldn’t you want some more details? It’s been a long wait, but the unfortunate news remains the same in that there are still many more weeks of waiting ahead of us. Even with Freeform moving up the season 3 premiere date to March, that’s still much later than either of the two season premieres that came beforehand.

Unfortunately, those of you hoping for a last-minute Christmas gift in the form of a Shadowhunters season 3 premiere synopsis are going to be disappointed. Because of the later premiere date, there’s no real incentive for Freeform to start sharing details. If you’re lucky, there is a reasonably good chance that you’ll get a new trailer over the coming months, but we feel like you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer for photos, synopses, and the like.

A reasonable estimation as to when some Shadowhunters season 3 details will start coming in is late February — networks often love to go hardcore on promoting their series a month or so out and that’s where you could start learning more about Lilith and seeing the introduction of some other new characters. Shadowhunters will of course continue to feature some of your old favorites, but at the same time the network is still going to be doing whatever they can to expand the universe and allow you to meet some new faces — people that you may not have had all that much of an opportunity to learn about previously.

Beyond just getting to know new people and seeing the cliffhanger of Lilith’s arrival, there are some other things that Shadowhunters needs to address in the early going for season 3. For one, we have to see where Magnus and Alec are romantically after all they went through in season 2, and then there’s also a number of newer relationships that will need to be explored and fleshed-out further. It’s important to remember that even though many of these characters have a significant duty in protecting New York City, they do also have their own personal lives to continue living.
