NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 9 video: What happened to Joelle Taylor?
For Chris O’Donnell’s character, finding a way to trust her is no easy task — but it also probably was not that easy for Taylor to come to him in the first place. As we’ve come to know, she doesn’t have the same ties in the CIA that she once did so it’s not like she could go to them in order to get herself out of this bind.
At the end of the sneak preview what we learn here is rather simple: Callen’s willing to help her, but not for her sake. He’s willing to do this instead for the sake of those close to her as a means to ensure that they are okay. Given the state that Taylor is in, she probably doesn’t care so much why she’s being helped as much as the fact that she’s getting the help she needs in the first place. This is just the foundation to this episode, though — by the end of it, we have a feeling that Callen is going to be so much more involved than he first thinks. That’s just his way given that he’s not the sort of guy to just operate via half-measures when it comes to taking on a case.
Ultimately, we’ll see what happens at the end of this episode. It’s nice to have a recurring character back on the show, and for those of you who like Anna, you’ll probably appreciate the shout-out to her here. Yet, Bar Paly doesn’t seem to be present in the sneak peek and we’re not entirely sure when she will be turning up on the show again.

Here’s hoping Joelle is gone by the end of this episode. Bring Anna back–she’s a much better match for Callen (plus her dad’s Arkady and scenes with all three of them would be funnier than anything between Deeks, Roberta, and Guy).

Please, no Anna. I really liked Joelle, and I hope they find a way to rehabilitate her character, maybe even make her a recurring good guy. After all, she’s clearly a talented agent if she’s able to deceive Callen, Sam and Michele (whose death I will never get over.)
