Gotham season 4 episode 8 spoilers: Why are Gordon and Bullock at odds?

Gotham season 4 episode 8

On Gotham season 4 episode 8, you are finally going to get a chance to start to see something that you may have been waiting to see for a long time: The progression of Jim Gordon into something more than what he’s been so far.

We know thanks to the Batman comics at at some point down the line, Gordon ends up becoming Commissioner. However, at the moment he is not anywhere close to that and has some work that he needs to do in order to make it to that point. There are more cases to crack, more criminals to put away, and more promotions to get. One of these said promotions could be coming on the November 9 installment entitled “Stop Hitting Yourself,” which seems to be mostly exciting on the basis of how it will allow us the opportunity to see what happens when Jim gets a chance to move up the latter. Will some of his associates be happy for him, or are they instead going to be frustrated that either they didn’t get the honor or that he did in spite of some of his various methods? Remember here that Gordon is not a model citizen in Gotham — he’s broke all kinds of rules in order to ensure that he gets the job done under whatever sort of definition he needs in order to do that. It’s fair that some other people are going to wonder why he would get favorable treatment while they toil away without nearly as much in the way of rewards.

If you look below now, you can get a little more in the way of insight into what is coming up next:

Grundy and Nygma become main attractions at Cherry’s Place in The Narrows. Penguin wants revenge when he hears Nygma is mocking him on stage and enlists The Sirens for help. Meanwhile, Gordon is offered the position of GCPD Captain, putting him at odds with Bullock in the all-new “A Dark Knight: Stop Hitting Yourself” episode of GOTHAM airing Thursday, Nov. 9 (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (GTH-408) (TV-14 L, V)

No matter what transpires here between Bullock and Gordon, hopefully it’s not something that severs their relationship for a long time moving into the future.
