Blue Bloods season 8 episode 3 preview: Whoopi Goldberg returns

For those wanting another reason to be excited about Blue Bloods season 8 episode 3, the presence of Whoopi Goldberg should do it. The acting icon is making another appearance as City Council Speaker Regina Thomas, and her history with Frank Reagan could prove rather valuable in ensuring that he is able to get what he wants done. In doing so, Frank may find himself at odds with Mayor Dutton again. Would this show really be Blue Bloods in the event that Frank and the Mayor were actually getting along? It almost doesn’t matter who is even holding the position anymore; the tense relationship ultimately remains the same.

Blue Bloods season 8 episode 3 synopsis – “Erin’s trial against notorious human trafficker Chao Lin (Tia Carrera) is jeopardized when the presiding judge is found dead, causing Danny and Baez to investigate foul play. Also, Mayor Dutton (Lorraine Bracco) opposes Frank’s public safety initiative, but City Council Speaker Regina Thomas (Whoopi Goldberg) devises a plan to help Frank bypass the Mayor’s veto, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Oct. 13 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.”

Based on what this synopsis states, any goodwill that may have once been there between Frank and the new Mayor is pretty much dead. Meanwhile, it’s going to be fun to see another storyline that links up Danny and Baez with Erin, mostly because the relationships and interplay between these characters often do prove to be a great deal of fun. We’re certainly interested in seeing how this investigation wraps up mostly because the stakes of it are pretty high.

Obviously, Danny Reagan is doing what he can in order to get back to doing what he does best, but we do still wonder if he will be feeling the aftereffects in turn of Linda for some time. It would be hard for a person not to given the situation that he is in — even if he has experienced a great deal of grief before.
