NCIS: Los Angeles season 9: The future for Deeks & Kensi (Couples Forecast)

Mrs. Carter: What does the future hold for Kensi and Deeks moving into NCIS: Los Angeles season 9?

At the end of season 8, these two lovebirds were better off than they’ve been at any other point in their entire relationship. After many weeks of will-they-or-won’t-they when it comes to their relationship, coupled with many weeks of botched Deeks proposals that just didn’t come out right, Kensi turned things around and proposed to her boyfriend herself! It was a very fun moment and a surprising one that definitely broke the crime-show-proposal mold that we have seen so many times over the years.

In the aftermath of this proposal, the two parties enter season 9 an engaged couple, and with that come further challenges for the two to explore. One of the ones that we know for sure is coming is cluing in Deeks’ mother on the news. We’ve heard that this is going to be a plot point, and she will be appearing in the upcoming premiere based on the sets that are being used in the episode.

So, beyond that, what’s next?

Skeletons in the closet – Are there parts of their past that need to come out for the relationship to take a step forward? Are there some bitter exes out there who will come back to sabotage their happiness? We don’t want the show to turn too dark, but we do think that there is something super-fun that could come out of exploring the characters’ secrets if they have some stuff that they’ve neglected to mention about their past.

More of their personal lives – What do dates for Densi look like, and how much time do they actually have for themselves with this job? We know that domestic bliss can be boring, but in small doses, we think that it can be interesting.

Wedding planning – Obviously, there’s a lot of fun to be had here in comparing what their visions are for the big day. It would actually be super-interesting if Kensi does have some super-out-there ideas for it that we haven’t heard about just yet. Wedding plans always have a tendency to be fun, and with these two, it’s sure to be unorthodox.

More struggles – You don’t want a relationship to be conflict-free. Obviously, nobody wants Deeks & Kensi broken up, but you still want them to go through hardship. Maybe they have an epic argument during the season that raises questions about their future. Or, maybe the two are just put into a life-or-death situation where they have to rely on each other to stay alive and have help from no one else. The more great material for Eric Christian Olsen and Daniela Ruah, the happier we’ll be!
