American Horror Story season 7: The latest Ryan Murphy title teaser stings

Ryan Murphy

Later this week, the latest American Horror Story season is going to have an official title — but before that, Ryan Murphy still wants to freak you out!

In the new post via Instagram below, the showrunner reveals the latest super-creepy teaser for the latest batch of episodes, and this one has to do with bees — a swarm of them, to be precise. So what in the world is going on here? There are a few easy theories that we’ve come up with.

Fears – It may sound silly, but how about a season revolving around everyone conquering various forms of their worst fears? There are people with some serious feelings towards bees, and we’ve already seen a Twisty the Clown comics. There are absolutely plenty of people afraid of clowns.

Colonies – If you are thinking back to the teases that the Presidential Election is an inspiration for the season, then this all of a sudden makes a little bit more sense. If there’s one thing that we’ve come to know about the current political climate, it is that everyone has formed their own tribes and are not altogether pleased/interested in drifting from them.

Plagues – It’s not a swarm of locusts, but it is still a swarm that we’re seeing here. Even though politics is going to be a part of this season, could there also be some trouble of Biblical proportions for some of these characters? We’re not writing that off as a possibility, and we’d be absolutely stupid to given what we know about the show.

What we do know for certain is that the cast for the new American Horror Story season is pretty darn outstanding, given that you have the likes of Billy Eichner, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, Colton Haynes, and many more making appearances over the course of the year. New episodes will start airing this fall, and knowing Murphy one of the goals is going to be to start conversations. These are shows that like to generate discussions and debates, and we absolutely don’t see that changing at this point. They are smart, thought-provoking, and then also incredibly crazy. The one risk that this politics-themed season runs is over-saturating a market that is already stuffed to the brim with other political programming. When you think about it, there are only so many politically-themed things that someone can tolerate.
