Shadowhunters season 2 spoilers: Be prepared for intense Sebastian scenes

Sebastian

When Monday night’s new episode of Shadowhunters arrives, be prepared to see Sebastian at the center of it — a move that absolutely makes sense. At the end of this past installment, we received full validation that the Sebastian we’ve been seeing is actually a descendant of Valentine, and a powerful soul who’s out to cause all sorts of chaos. He’s already taken over the place of the other Sebastian, the one from the other Institute who Aline knew. This was a complicated series of events, but it was accented wonderfully thanks to actor Will Tudor, who brought a lot of power and charisma to some of his scenes.

As you know by now, Paul Wesley is the man responsible for directing Monday’s episode, and while he wouldn’t say all that much when it comes to the story of the hour, he had nothing but high praise for Tudor’s work. Here is what he had to say on the subject in a new interview with TV Guide leading up to the hour airing:

“I just thought they all were so generous with their time and with their effort and just making me feel comfortable and welcome. One of the actors that had — I would say — the most intense arc in the episode was Will Tudor. He had the most sort of verbose scenes and did a really wonderful job. I knew he was good, I’d heard he’s great, but I was impressed with his work.”

Could this be the episode where some of the Shadowhunters find out the truth about his real identity? It’s possible, but it’s hard to imagine that this is the end of the road for him this season. Just remember how much time has been spent on the character — why rush any reveals or the final showdown? This is meant to be one of the biggest threats that Clary and company have faced off against since the start of the series. Why not build on that and make things increasingly intense as the season progresses?

Obviously, nobody wants to see something terrible happen to Clary, Jace, or anyone else, given that they’re beloved characters who bring a lot to the table in terms of passion and enjoyment. Yet, you want to see them tested and pushed to the limits, since seeing them overcome some of that adversity is only going to further build the love and respect that we’ve got for them.

Now, let’s talk some other Shadowhunters scoop
