TNT’s Claws episode 5 spoilers: Desna in danger and so much more

Claws episode 5

How can Claws episode 5 up the ante? This feels as though it’ll be the sort of question we’re asking for the remainder of the season. After all, this is a crazy series where crazy things happen, and it’s not going to get any less messy. Instead, we almost anticipating it snowballing until further lives are in jeopardy beyond just Roller, the gangster who found himself dead at Desna and Virginia’s hand at the start of the season.

Roller’s death is clearly the linchpin of everything that is coming, given that more people with Uncle Daddy connections are going to continue to question her. Heck, the promo below suggestions that someone is about to straight-up murder her on the spot. She’s gotta contend with all of this, and also the notion of Virginia as one of the world’s largest wild cards, who is desperate to flip and flop around until she finds a position that is comfortable.

Take a look below for some official details now courtesy of TNT.

Claws episode 5 synopsis – “Desna (Niecy Nash) and Jennifer (Jenn Lyon) may be Dr. Ken’s (Jason Antoon) only hope, as Bryce (Kevin Rankin) wrongly accuses him of a heinous crime. Dean (Harold Perrineau) sees a disturbing billboard ad that hits too close to home, leaving Desna to cope with the dark aftermath. Meanwhile, Virginia (Karrueche Tran) and Desna are forced to go to Polly (Carrie Preston) for help to rid the world of two horrible birds from Desna’s past, with one well-aimed stone.”

The story of Dean is probably going to be the one we get the most choked-up about, largely because Perrineau is such a tremendous actor and also because he’s playing a character who is so emotionally vulnerable. Dean is the sort of guy who wears his heart on his sleeve; he has no choice but to do so, and he looks to Desna for guidance. Unfortunately, as her life becomes more and more complicated and dangerous, she may not have the emotional energy in order to help anymore.

Beyond this, we’re absolutely looking for some drama to come out of Desna and Virginia going to Polly, given that she is the sort of character who, thanks to her history, has so many more skeletons than she appears to on the surface. Given her past, she’s seen a lot of stuff, and she may have some creative ways to “take care” of some problems. We’ll see precisely what happens in that department when the episode airs.
