Wynonna Earp season 2 episode 5 spoilers: Wynonna, Waverly enter the storm
Maybe in magic land there is no sibling fighting, but it certainly is not what’s going on here on planet earth with these characters. Waverly’s been possessed, Wynonna’s been haunted, and they’ve had a lot on their plate. (That’s not even getting into what happened at the end of this week’s episode.) Tensions are going to be higher than ever moving into next week’s episode called “Let’s Pretend We’re Strangers” — a title that really could suggest all sorts of things. (We’ll leave some of that to you now in the comments; we’re pretty darn sure that there are a wide array of possibilities out there.)
Maybe what comes at the end of the episode is a glorious example of sisters coming together in order to ensure that their happiness — and their safety — is secured. Or, maybe what happens instead is a fine example of things going from bad to worse.

Is this the most informative synopsis that we’ve ever seen from Syfy? Not exactly, but they’re never that detailed when it comes to handing out information either. Also, they do have a tendency to swap out synopses here and there — that’s what happened moving into tonight’s episode, where it became a little more muddy as to how much of a showdown between Wynonna and Waverly we’re going to get.
Well, about that showdown…
It’s here, but not in the way you thought. (Spoilers from tonight’s episode ahead!) In the closing minutes, we learned that Wynonna is now the one possessed, which means that it could be up to her little sister, Doc, Nicole, and the other main characters to figure out how to free her from this most-unfortunate situation. Alas, none of them have a magic gun. Don’t you think that this will make things a little bit more challenging?
Let’s talk silver linings
As of now, there are a few different things to be grateful for, starting with the fact that we still have more than half of the season left to go. Also, remember that there are many shows that have to endure a Fourth of July hiatus; thankfully, Wynonna Earp is not one of them and a brand new episode will resume as planned in one week’s time.
