Doctor Who season 10 finale spoilers: The beginning of Twelve’s end
While you can have whatever little quibbles you want with Steven Moffat, we do feel like he knows how to craft a stellar regeneration scene. The regeneration from Eleven into Twelve was gut-wrenching, but also lovely in that Karen Gillan came back to say one last goodbye to him before Twelve officially was born.
There is absolutely more to say about the regeneration and new beginnings, but we will be the first to admit that going into in-depth commentary on this subject is a tad premature given that there are still many months to go before we have to think about the Christmas Special / season 11. First, there is one more story to think about. “The Doctor Falls” will pick up almost immediately after the events of this week’s episode, and feature our hero at more peril than ever before as he battles some of his greatest enemies. The fate of the entire galaxy may not be at stake at first, but by the time the story ends, who is to say just what will happen?

This is one of the shortest synopses that The BBC has ever given away when it comes to one of their upcoming episodes, but can you really be surprised by that all things considered? There are few things that are sacred in the television world, but we do like to think that finales should be one of them.
