The Bachelorette: DeMario Jackson defends actions in new statement

DeMario

Earlier today, Corinne Olympios spoke out for the first time about her experiences filming Bachelor in Paradiseand how she is living out a woman’s worst fear as a victim of a terrible incident. Now, the other person involved in DeMario Jackson is saying the same thing.

In a statement per his publicist Eve Sarkisyan-Nunn (via E! News), DeMario professes his innocence in what is transpiring, and is also preparing to take further action if need be:

“It’s unfortunate that my character and family name has been assassinated this past week with false claims and malicious allegations. I will be taking swift and appropriate legal action until my name is cleared and, per the advice of legal counsel, will be seeking all available remedies entitled to me under the laws.”

It is worth noting once more that in her initial statement earlier today, Corinne did not mention DeMario by name, and there were sourced reports out there that she held production, and not him, responsible for what happened. Prior to this statement, DeMario had nothing but positive things to say about her.

Basically, the events of today overall proved that this is once more a very serious matter, and one that should be investigated thoroughly with the responsible parties held accountable. There’s no more need to speculation; instead, the right thing is to wait for what studio Warner Horizon determines to be the truth. At this point, it’s hard to imagine Bachelor in Paradise ever surviving the results of this; the show may come back in a different form with different guidelines, but absolutely is not going to move forward as it is after hearing all of this.

Now that you’ve heard from all parties in some sort of official capacity, it is possible that this could be the end of the conversation for a while until the results come in. Once there is a little more in the way of concrete information to report on, we’ll provide that for you over at the link here.

Of course, you can still share your thoughts on the story below, but we will continue to advice you to try to be considerate and respectful of the nature of this incident. (Photo: ABC.)
