Is The Bachelorette new tonight? More Rachel Lindsay date details
Alas, you’re not going to have a chance to check it out for another week. The NBA Finals is airing Game 5 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors tonight, and all things considered that may be very much a good thing.
As most people out there know at this point, there is a major controversy brewing at the moment regarding Bachelor in Paradise an incident down in Mexico last week that has shut down production. This said incident has led to all sorts of lawsuit threats and also potentially the end of that entire show, depending on what is decided.
Of course, none of this has any impact on what happened during Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette, which was filmed beforehand and has a very different sort of vibe and dynamic. The problem is that it is very bad publicity for the show, and is the sort of thing that could scare of viewers and advertisers alike just by association. The best thing that the series can do is tread fairly carefully, be sensitive, and take appropriate action once more details are revealed. There are no plans at present to not air the remainder of this season, so for the time being, you should probably expect to see more of The Bachelorette next week as Rachel’s journey to try to find love presses onward. There are some exotic locations that are going to be visited, and some romantic dates that you’ll bear witness to the rest of the way. This is a show that is about romance, summer fun, and a little bit of drama here and there; let’s all hope that it finds itself in a position coming up where it can come back to that.
Do you think that the rest of this season of The Bachelorette will be able to get away from the shadow of what happened in Paradise? Let us know in the comments.
