Doctor Who season 10 episode 10 spoilers: Lost in the dark

Doctor Who season 10 episode 10

When Doctor Who season 10 episode 10 airs on BBC One next week, you will receive a fine opportunity to behold some of what the series does best. There will be an inventive, fascinating story that makes you wonder how someone hasn’t come up with it sooner. Light is essential to survival. It’s a source of joy, a beacon of happiness, and something that adds so much dimension to the world. There are reasons why so many people hate to live in polar climates (beyond the rain), and a big part of it has to deal with the winters where there is very little in the way of tangible sunlight.

On “The Eaters of Light,” you will see precisely what happens when the world’s sunlight is in danger, and it is up to The Doctor and his makeshift team to start to figure out how to keep such a terrible thing as endless darkness from spreading all across the world.

Doctor Who season 10 episode 10 synopsis – “A hunt for the lost Ninth Roman Legion leads the Doctor, Bill and Nardole into the middle of an ancient battle that could cast humanity into the dark forever. What is inside the cairn? And how far will they have to go defeat the terrifying alien Eaters of Light?”

Hopefully, an episode this fun does serve as a great way to distract so many of us from the other extraneous headlines surrounding the show at the moment. The eagerness is starting to spike in terms of learning the identity of the next Doctor, and to go along with that further there are also conversations aplenty about the regeneration, how that will look, and when the new season could premiere even beyond that. As humans, we do have this natural tendency to look so far into the future that you don’t want to see what’s going on in the present. It’s meta, but this does feel like the sort of lesson that a Doctor Who episode would actually want to teach you.
