With a new episode coming up on CBS this weekend, we’ve got a new NCIS: Los Angeles season 8 episode 21 sneak peek that is largely about one thing more than any other: Struggles when it comes to various jurisdictions.
Specifically, Sam and Callen are trying to do their best to get into a crime scene, given that it is there they will (obviously) be able to piece together the majority of their important evidence for a case. This is where things start to get a little bit messy, given that they are having a rather tough time getting the authorization needed to be able to get into there and get some of the information that they need. Thank the FBI for that.
Also, it doesn’t seem as though what happened to a certain Undersecretary is going to make getting in there any easier — despite trying to call in a favor, this doesn’t quite help them either. While this sneak peek is not incredibly heavy in terms of laying out what the overall plot for the upcoming episode is going to be, you can rest assured that this is a good foundation.
Just in case you are interested for a little more scoop on this episode, CBS confirmed that a big part of this story is going to revolve in part around the kidnapping of a highly decorated Navy Captain, and the NCIS team’s attempts to rescue them using a couple of longtime Vietnam War colleagues of Hetty: Admiral AJ Chegwidden (John M. Jackson) and Admiral Sterling Bridges (James Remar). These characters have more than an episode ahead, so rest assured that whatever you see in this particular story is not going to be the end of the road for either one of them.
By the end of the season, be prepared to especially see tensions rise for the Sam character — we don’t want to give too much away just yet, but we are gearing up for one of the most intense missions that we’ve ever seen featuring the character by the end of the finale. (Oh, and it’s certainly possible that there could be a cliffhanger to go along with that.)
