With the America’s Got Talent premiere date coming this summer, NBC has decided to bestow on us their first official promo art.
In terms of the overall look at this promo art, we cannot exactly say that there is a whole lot here that stands out. Specifically, what you’ve got here is a slogan of “summer starts here,” and then also a look at Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Mel B, and then new host Tyra Banks. She is the person who we’re going to be getting to know in the capacity of the show, and her presence is the big risk that the show is taking this summer.
For the past several years, America’s Got Talent was hosted by Nick Cannon, and he was consistently solid through his multiple efforts on the series. He was very much entertaining, but at the same time also enthusiastic and professional. He kept the ship running like a well-oiled machine. Tyra will also have to do that, while injecting some of her own personality in there at the same time.
Beyond Tyra, really the only other major change here is seeing Howie sport glasses. Doesn’t he look so professional all of the sudden? He certainly looks a little less like Mr. Clean.
The reality when it come to America’s Got Talent as a series is that while the judges are important when it comes to entertainment value, it’s not the be-all, end-all when it comes to whether or not the show is good. It’s all about the acts, and whether or not you get the right people who American viewers want to root for. That’s far more challenging than you would think, given that there are SO many other venues at this point in order for someone to become a star. For example, you can go on YouTube and hope to get the attention of someone big. Or, you can do a wide array of singing shows. If you’re a variety act, there are still other avenues on social media that can help you.
Once there is some more news when it comes to America’s Got Talent, we’re going to have it for you over at the link here.
