Westworld season 2 spoilers: Expect big things from Dolores

DoloresEven though Westworld season 2 may be very far into the future, is it too early for news on what could be coming for Dolores? We don’t think so. If nothing else, it gives you something more to look forward to.

At the end of season 1, it was becoming ever clearer that Evan Rachel Wood’s character was starting to become so much more sentient than ever before, as she started to develop a far greater sense of strength and independence. (After what she went through, is there anyone else out there who deserves it more?) As a result of that, it feels like there’s nothing better to do than try to move forward? The actress’ new comments on the subject via Entertainment Weekly seem to very much reflect that:

“I’m really curious to see the unleashed version of her that we caught a glimpse of at the very end of the finale … Those final seconds, I think we were seeing a completely different side to her, completely different programming and completely off of her leash, so I don’t think she will be the same person; she’ll be an evolved version.”

As for where she be, if there’s a time jump, or what the world will be like, those are questions to sit on. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy are working on getting the story together, and with that, you’re left to sit idly by and anticipate whatever creations that they’ve got up their sleeve. Westworld season 2 should premiere on HBO at some point in 2018. This year, the best thing we can really hope for is a teaser, maybe with the full lineup this fall. It’s even a little too early still to speculate too much as to whether or not we’ll get this. We just know that the big thing we are hoping to have is more of a sense of understanding as to the direction of the show. Specifically, what’s it going to look like, and who all is going to return for the next iteration.

Whether we’re talking about Dolores or any other character, one other thing that we know is that anticipation is high.
