The Big Bang Theory season 10 spoilers: Two and a Half Men alum set

Two and a Half Men

The Big Bang Theory will be airing a new episode on Thursday night, and as a result of that, the relationship between this show and Two and a Half Men is only going to further expand.

For the time being, here is what we know — April Bowlby is going to be appearing on “The Separation Agitation” as a new love interest. Odds are, you remember Bowlby for playing Alan Harper’s one-time love Kandi on the other Chuck Lorre sitcom. There was a certain time where we wondered if these shows were set in the same universe — technically, we did have a Charlie Sheen cameo back in the days when The Cheesecake Factory was a big part of the show, but that was such a small cameo that we don’t necessarily have to consider the two shows canon with each other.

Anyhow, it seems as though Bowlby will be playing a different role here. The synopsis below offers up a little more insight:

“Howard and Bernadette have a hard time leaving Halley in day care when Bernadette returns to work. Also, Bert (Brian Posehn) introduces the gang to his new girlfriend, Rebecca (April Bowlby).”

What is Bert like in love? Color us excited to find out. Previously, much of the inclination that we’ve gotten through watching the show is that he may have some feelings for Amy Farrah Fowler, which is something that Sheldon has taken great pride in given that he’s Sheldon and he’s likes to take advantage of the misfortune of others. This should be a fun role for Bowlby, and we’re excited to see precisely what she’s able to do with much of this material.

Ultimately, what do you think about this casting? Be sure to share some of your thoughts on the subject now in the comments! We should have some sneak peeks for the episode a little bit later this week — we do find it fun that Bert is eager to introduce Rebecca to the rest of the gang, especially since we’re still not altogether sure how close he is supposed to be to the remainder of the group. Other than with Amy, his relationship to the rest of the characters is not clearly defined.
