The Blacklist season 4 spoilers: More on a Reddington flashback episode
Here’s another great reason to be excited about it: You’re also getting Daniel Cerone as the writer for it! This episode is specifically “Requiem,” the second of the two that are airing on April 20 when the show returns from hiatus. The former Constantine showrunner, who is an executive producer on The Blacklist, seems to be very excited for what we’re going to see in the episode. We’ve already shared the synopsis, but we’ve got it for you again below in the event that you missed it previously:
“Memories of the past set Red (James Spader) on a dangerous collision course with an enemy determined to destroy his criminal empire.”
It’s already been said that there will be an episode this season that focuses a good bit of backstory on the character of Kr. Kaplan, and we presume that it’s possible that this episode will be it. However, there isn’t any real confirmation on that at the moment. The only things we know for certain begin with where the show left off the last time it aired — Reddington was poisoned, and it looks very much like it is Dembe Zuma who is responsible for it happening. Whether or not he was working for someone else, or there is some deeper motive here, remains to be seen.
In getting back to Mr. Kaplan, there’s a reason why she is the lead suspect in what happened to James Spader’s character. Let’s say that he did something to you similar to what he did to her. Isn’t it pretty likely that you would want revenge? She’s not going to be able to be a physical bruiser or a fighter on the front lines, but she would easily be the sort of person who’d want to operate in the shadows and stir up a little bit of trouble there.

Why did I not know that Cerone was involved with Constantine?? That was such an amazing show, and all too short-lived.
