Chicago Fire season 5 spoilers: Rosewood actor joins as possible future regular
For those of you who are interested out there in securing some additional news when it comes to Chicago Fire, we do like to think that the following should be music to your ears.
According to a report from Deadline, Rosewood actor Kamal Angelo Bolden is slated to join the show as a major character for the remainder of the fifth season, and this is a role that could be expanded outwards to a regular in the event that the show on NBC is renewed for a sixth season (which feels for the most part inevitable). His character name is also Kamal, and he is described as a “magnetic” guy who brings a great deal of fun energy everywhere he goes, including the confines of Firehouse 51. He’s got a huge smile, and that lights up the room.
Bolden’s first appearance will be set for the coming episodes. Now, let’s just hope that he ends up becoming a little more of a permanent part of the series than some of the other recruits that we’ve seen on the show over time. By this, we’re specifically thinking of people like Chili and Jimmy, who each appeared briefly, had an arc, and then went away right when we were starting to think that they were gone from the show permanently.
While we don’t necessarily think that Firehouse 51 is missing anything at the moment when it comes to energy, they could always use someone further to give the show some more life, and to further mimic everything that does happen in a real firehouse. After all, you do have to remember here that in life, we often do get instances where people come in and other people leave. We don’t want to compare it to a revolving door per se, but there is a great deal of flux and change that can happen within the confines of the house.
