The Walking Dead season 7, episode 12 preview: Could Tara expose Oceanside?

For this The Walking Dead season 7, episode 12 preview, we’re putting on our speculation cap for a minute as we start to think about what the main story and what it could be. Specifically, the information that we’ve got below for “Say Yes” does make us think that we’re getting a story in part about Tara, and some of the decisions that she could be making as the group ponders over their future.

Synopsis – “Members of the group scavenge for supplies. Meanwhile, back in Alexandria, someone must make a morally-challenging decision.”

Basically, Tara realizes now that the group is in a difficult place. They need guns specifically to appease Jadis and her garbage army, and she realizes that Oceanside is hording many of these guns in their secret community. Even though her time there didn’t exactly end well, Tara is not the sort of person who wants to break a promise and see the lives of these women altered. That is why, at least to date, she opted to keep the secret.

Now as the showdown with Negan nears, she could be put in a more morally-compromising position. It’s possible that we’re reading this synopsis wrong since we’re doing so without seeing a promo for what is coming up next yet, but if this does in fact end up being the story that we see on AMC, it all makes a degree of sense. Who else of the entire group could have this sense of guilt and responsibility weighing on them?

By the end of “Say Yes,” we will arrive at the midway point of the season, and at that time there will be opportunities to assess how we got to this point — and also what could be coming up as we near a potential showdown against our Big Bad.

Here’s the thing: You don’t even see Tara front and center in the promo below; yet, with the mention of guns, you have to think that her decision time is nigh.
