‘The Blacklist’ season 4, episode 15 preview: Did Mr. Kaplan poison Reddington?
Let’s take a look here at the evidence. Over the past few weeks, someone sabotaged Reddington’s operation in almost every single way that they could. They hired Isabella Stone, they’ve taken contacts away from him, and their work is far from over. At the end of this past episode, we saw them frame Red for hiring Stone himself. Is Red out to destroy his own team? It’s hard to see that being the case.
As for Mr. Kaplan, her motivation comes courtesy of what happened with the shooting earlier this season. Just when it appeared that she was dead, she found a way to survive. She’s recuperated herself back to health, but last we saw her, she was getting into a car on the road. The character is fully in ghost mode at the moment, but she could turn up at any given moment. Now feels like the right time. She’s got a clear motivation for revenge, and her time with Red means that she also have the necessary skills in order to help run some sort of massive, dangerous operation.
Plus, is there any other viable candidate to go after Red? Sure, many other motivated parties exist out there, but she’s the one with a new lease on life, and the one wronged the most. Her coming back to attack him would be greatly satisfying as a reveal … even with a prediction or two on here.
The downside to a reveal
The bad news is clearly the fact that after this episode, you’ll be waiting a while to see what lies ahead. “The Blacklist: Redemption” premieres at 10:00 p.m. Eastern, and it will occupy that timeslot for many weeks. Fingers crossed that “The Blacklist” does enough to excite everyone for a home stretch, one it badly needs. To date, the ratings for season 4 are not impressing anyone, whether it be NBC or viewers hoping for a renewal.

Early S4 writing had Mr Kaplan fully understanding that Red had to act on her betrayal… she said she wouldn’t make it easy for him to take the necessary action, but it was written as if she did understand, also the snippets of Red/Kaplan interaction S1-3 suggest deep feelings between the two, she should be the one that saves him from this attacker and in that redeem herself, if she IS the attacker, that is cruel behavior that does not fit her character at all… killing ‘innocent’ associates? that is just not mr Kaplan… Besides, Dembe made it very clear he did not support mr Kaplans deception in Liz’s fake death, it makes little sense to have him team up with her in the destruction of Red…. please writers, I trust you have been more creative than that

Go MR Kaplan. Kill Red and torture him all you can. He deserved everything he gets. Red is a lunatic and he is why I don’t watch anymore. Red needs to get his for all the murders he has committed.
