‘The Bachelor’ episode 7 preview: On Nick Viall, Corinne Olympios, and mountains out of molehills
You gotta love “The Bachelor” for all the ridiculous ways in which they will try to sell an episode. They’ll make you think that a guy is leaving the show when CLEARLY that’s not the case, and they’ll show you the same confessional a million times over while thinking that it produces some sort of difference response.
This brings us to the new sneak peek that we’ve got for you below, and the latest nonsense in a long line of the stuff pertaining to Nick Viall and Corinne Olympios.
Using the preview below as a guide, let’s dive into now pointing out the wide array of different things that are ridiculous about how ABC is promoting this episode.
1. No, Nick is not planning to leave – When you see him doing his “thinking outside by himself” montage that this show always loves to do at this point in the season, it’s sunny out. Meanwhile, it’s nighttime later in the preview and he’s still around.
2. Is Nick “leaving” even related to Corinne visiting his hotel room? – The show wants you to think that this is the case, but there’s not all that much evidence of it. Corinne doesn’t seem to be dressed or speaking about visiting him in a way that reads “I’m here to encourage Nick to stay.” She’s just talking about sleeping with him and a part of her anatomy that she considers to be “platinum.”
3. How many times do we need to see the same confessional? – The thing that’s the funniest about this is that ABC has shown this preview multiple times, and kept in Corinne saying the word “vagine.” Yet, here they censor it out for some reason, as though there is someone out there on planet earth who hasn’t seen it before now.
For the record, it’d be shocking if Nick actually did sleep with her — he is well aware of the reaction that came out of he and Kaitlyn Bristowe sleeping together on her season before the Overnight Dates, and that may not be something that he wants to inject into the narrative this time around. Also, it’s possible he’s got stronger feelings for other people.
