‘The Walking Dead’ season 7, episode 9 preview: The Saviors build a wall

Man, do we have jokes for days when it comes to the latest sneak peek below for “The Walking Dead” — but rather than going down that road, let’s discuss it more in the literal sense.

As you can see below, Rick and company are going to be doing their part to unify other communities against the Saviors, but they’re going to have some problems. For one, the Saviors are going to be doing their part to make themselves as inaccessible as humanly possible to any direct attacks. They’re resourceful enough in order to build a wall out of old cars, and have it devised in such a manner that if anyone opts to cross it, BAD things happen. (Clearly, we feel for anyone who really tries.)

Unfortunately, this sneak peek doesn’t really give us a whole lot of insight beyond the fact that Rick and company are going to need to figure something else out when it comes to devising this part of their plan … and time is of the essence given that there is only so much time that Rick is going to be able to keep everything on the down-low. You don’t know who to trust in this world, and with that you have to formulate your plan and act quickly out of fear that someone is going to figure things out and strike first.

If you have some hesitation that comes with getting back into this show after a slowly-paced first half of the season, let’s start by saying that we get that a million times over. The one thing that we can tell you that offers you up a slight sense of solace is that this is going to be a very different season than the ones that came before it.
