‘The Vampire Diaries’ series finale: Nina Dobrev posts farewells with Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley

Vampire Diaries -

For everyone who loves “The Vampire Diaries,” it feels as though it’s all now set in stone: The series is wrapping up, and everyone is saying their goodbyes to the show that they were a part of in one way or another for many years.

For Nina Dobrev in particular, we feel like saying goodbye had to be a particularly weird experience given that she previously left the show back after season 6, but came back in order to film the series finale and celebrate the conclusion with the rest of the cast. If you look below, you can see what she had to say about the show riding off into the sunset, and also some of what she did in order to say goodbye with some of her co-stars Ian Somerhalder (with his wife Nikki Reed) and Paul Wesley.Consider this further proof that everyone does still get along even after all of these years, and they’ll miss being a part of the same show family.

So how is the show going to wrap things up? For the time being, this is the big mystery that is hovering over almost everything? Our presumption is that Elena will return in one way or another for the finale, but you cannot also write off a potential appearance from Katherine, her evil doppelganger from the past who was seemingly drug off to hell earlier on in the series’ run. It feels to us almost as though Katherine and Cade would already have some sort of relationship given where they’ve been the past couple of years.

The series finale airs next month, but until then there are some other orders of business that need to be taken care of. For one, we have to see if Stefan’s humanity can ever be restored. In addition to that, there are also some questions regarding if we’re going to see Bonnie find happiness after the devastating end to her story with Enzo. There’s another episode airing on Friday, so we’ll get another chance to figure things out there.

Dearest TVD family, It feels like it was just yesterday that I was saying goodbye. And yet two years have passed and here we are again. This is my true final goodbye, as today I shot my last scene of the Vampire Diaries forever. Coming back for the series finale has been a whirlwind of emotion, nostalgia, love, tears of joy and bittersweet endings. It feels like the beautiful closure we all needed, myself included, and I couldn’t have been happier to come home to be with my TVD set family and friends. I feel the fans family will also be happy with the show’s conclusion when they tune in to watch the last episode air in a few short weeks. From the bottom of my heart, I send you my biggest thanks for the countless years of implicit dedication, passion, support, and undying love from all the fans that have stuck with us on this truly amazing and beautiful journey. As this last chapter ends, we welcome and look forward to going on to the next adventure and hope that you continue to follow us as our new journeys begin. I grew up on this show and am eternally grateful for all the opportunities it has given me, and so thankful for each and every person who worked on The Vampire Diaries over the last 8 years. We are all pieces of a big puzzle and without every truly amazing cast and crew member, this magical puzzle would not be complete. Thank you for all your hard work, friendship and love. You have touched my heart in ways you will never know. Sending looch smooches, Love, Katherine, Amara, Tatia, and of course, Elena Gilbert. #TVDforever #FangsForTheMemories ❤ Ps. I had these custom engraved TVD #Forever keys made as crew gifts for my beloved TVD a family. @thegivingkeys is an amazing company that sells products to provide jobs.
