‘The Flash’ season 3, episode 12 preview: Could someone else kill Iris?

Flash -

For most of the past two episodes of “The Flash,” there’s been one thing that has been at the forefront: Savitar killing Iris West in the future. We know that Barry Allen and everyone at STAR Labs is working for a way to undo this, but there may be one other problem that they are not focusing on enough at all — how much they need to watch their back because of threats that are happening in the present.

We’re going to see a good bit of that taking place over the course of the next new episode entitled “Untouchable,” given that we’ve got one of the most dangerous meta-human threats that we’ve seen this season … even if he’s not one getting a ton of advance hype.

Synopsis – “Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team at S.T.A.R. Labs work together to bring down Clive Yorkin (guest star Matthew Kevin Anderson), a criminal meta-human who is methodically killing people by causing them to decompose at an accelerated rate. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) becomes his next target but it’s Iris (Candice Patton) who is caught in the crossfire. The Flash mentors Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) and begins to elevate the newer speedster’s training to another level.”

So is it really possibly that someone else could kill Iris? In theory yes, but it would be awfully anticlimactic for us to go through this entire journey only to then see some other villain come in and spoil the party. We imagine that things are going to be exciting in this episode, but as far as synopses go, this one isn’t giving a whole lot else away.

Promo – The clip below gives you a further sense of the danger ahead, but also a reminder as to why Barry is training Wally so hard — in order to defeat Savitar, he’s going to be the one who is able to match some of his speed abilities.
