‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4, episode 4 preview: John Noble returns in ‘The People v. Ichabod Crane’

Ichabod -Is “Sleepy Hollow” about to become akin to a season of “American Crime Story”? It’s understandable to wonder the question based on title alone, given that the next new episode of the show happens to be named “The People v. Ichabod Crane.”

As for what is happening here, the synopsis below doesn’t really give you a great connection to the title. With that said, we are definitely getting the sense still that this could be a particularly engaging (if not crazy) episode judging mostly on some of the adversaries that the team is going to be facing off against.

Synopsis – “When a monster fashioned to make its victims live out their most personal and haunting memories hits D.C., the team must find its weakness to save one of their own. Meanwhile, Jenny forms an unlikely bond that could be important in saving the world. Can the group prevail against one of the most insidious monsters yet?”

The thing that probably makes things so much worse for this particular “insidious monster” is that you do have so many people on the team at this point who are still very much rookies. This is not something that Diana is used to taking on. Meanwhile, Diana’s not trained for this. Ichabod and Jenny are really the only two characters who have dealt with this brand of madness on a fairly regular basis at this point. Maybe they’ll be the mentors / guides that the rest of the gang needs.

Promo – This is where things start to get a little bit more interesting. There is going to be a freakish supernatural court at the center of this episode, and more than that, you’re going to get a really good chance to see the return of someone in John Noble who’s got a really good knack for causing some chaos. It’s been a while since we’ve seen him on the show, but there’s a pretty good reason for that given what happened to Jeremy Crane in season 2.
