‘The Blacklist’ season 4, episode 12 preview: What’s next for James Spader, cast?

The Blacklist logo any seasonTonight, “The Blacklist” on NBC brought to you an installment that featured quite a few different things, but most notably, a lengthy undercover mission for Liz Keen that made her into Liz Crawford, a thief looking to join the Harem, an organization out to steal from other thieves. They’re almost like a morally-corrupt bizarro version of Robin Hood and his merry men.

Here is the bad news that we’ve gotta go ahead and share: There is no new episode of the series coming to NBC next week. Instead, you’re going to be waiting until February 2 in order to see what lies ahead in “Natalie Luca,” an hour that could feature an interesting Blacklister and also a team-up between Red and Tom.

Synopsis – “The Task Force chases an elusive assassin who kills by imparting a fatal disease on her victims. Meanwhile, Red (James Spader) enlists Tom (Ryan Eggold) for an undercover operation inside his criminal organization.”

Now that we know that an upcoming “Blacklist” episode is going to fully set up and bleed into the upcoming “Redemption” spin-off series, it makes sense that we’re not going to be seeing Tom go anywhere in the time between now and when the spin-off starts. Until that point comes around, let’s just say that we are very much enjoying what the show is doing right now in terms of a story that feels very much similar to the earlier seasons of the show. We do like the longer arcs, but it’s nice to go old-school here and there.

Promo – Well, things are going to be interesting now! Remember that someone infiltrated Red’s operation at the end of tonight’s episode, and we’re gearing up now to see a situation where he is going to want revenge on that. In true Red fashion, him wanting revenge basically equals him doing whatever he can to make it happen. Somehow, hiring Tom for his latest mission appears to be a big part of that plan.
