‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Corinne Olympios’ nanny Raquel becomes a character in episode 3 (video)

Corinne -The more that we see of Corinne Olympios on “The Bachelor,” the more it becomes clear why many of the other women vying for Nick Viall’s affections are not too happy to have her around. Why? Let’s just say that she has a nanny.

To be fair, many of you who watched the introduction at the start of the season already knew this. Corinne makes this confession in the sneak peek below for Monday night’s new episode, and while nobody is mean to her face, you can see all of the sirens go off in their minds. While having a nanny doesn’t make Corinne a bad person, it does make her out of touch with a good bit of the real world. This creates the impression that she’s entitled and has never had to work for anything in her life. It’s going to be harder for the other women to take her seriously when they view her as a child; to be fair, Corinne even refers to herself as a child.

Here’s another thing to consider: Nick is 36 years old. Should he really want to be with someone who is still considering herself to be a kid?

This is the second article discussing Corinne’s antics today, but ultimately the conclusion that we are drawing here is very much the same one that we drew earlier: This is a woman who is showing a sincere inability to be self-aware. Either she clearly does not understand exactly how these comments will be perceived, or she doesn’t care and thinks that it will help to get her on “Bachelor in Paradise.” If it’s the latter, then you can say that she is a savvy businesswoman since there’s a lot of money to be made from getting on that show and then using social-media to hawk stuff. Just look at what some of the other women out there are doing who were on that show.

We’re not sure the entire implications of Corinne’s comments are going to be clear while we watch this episode — it may take a little more time before they seep in and spread to all of the other women. The one thing that we know, and feel pretty confident about, is that these comments are a net negative. Whatever benefits long-term she gains in terms of memorability, she likely damages in terms of her ability to stick around. If Corinne’s viewed as a joke, eventually someone is going to say that to Nick, which in turn increases her chances of leaving sooner rather than later.
