‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 7, episode 12 preview: What’s next for Chin?

The Deal -

The seventh season of “Hawaii Five-0” went into hiatus last week with an episode that was powerful, emotional, and certainly one of the best for Daniel Dae Kim over the course of the entire series. We don’t know how we’re going to see Chin get out of his present situation after the cartel took him following his decision to save Sara. He made the ultimate sacrifice, but unfortunately, this could lead to the worst.

The show is returning on January 6 with an episode entitled “Ka ‘aelike” (otherwise known as “The Deal”), and today CBS released a few more details about what you can expect for both Chin and some other characters.

Synopsis – “After Chin is kidnapped by a cartel in Mexico, Five-0 must find and rescue him before he is executed by the group that’s out for revenge. Also, Grover goes undercover as a car salesman to investigate a murder that turns out to be far more complex and dangerous than expected.”

Hopefully, the Grover storyline will, at least at times, offer us a little bit of fun to help offset what is clearly going to be a rough storyline for Chin with his life in danger. The photo above clearly shows that things are not going to be going well for him, but if he manages to get out of this situation, maybe there is a chance that he and Sara could have more of a future together than it looked like they did before last week’s new episode. After all, if nothing else he is showing precisely how he is willing to do anything for her. This cements a big part of his legacy, which we know is one of the central themes for this season as characters start to look further ahead to what’s next.
