‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ preview: Kandi Burruss’ surprise phone call
Over the course of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” — or almost any edition of the franchise, we’ve definitely seen plenty of awkward moments that have to do with a phone call. Sometimes, we’ve seen these things lead to very bad news coming out, just as there have also been some other times where we’ve seen these reveals lead to welcome surprises. We’ve even had a few of these so far this season, including with Phaedra Parks and the bomb scare that we saw a little earlier this season.
In the preview below for Sunday night’s new episode, the focus is specifically on what is going on with Kandi Burruss as she receives a phone call from none other than Phaedra about getting together to have a meal. This is something that really blindsides Phaedra, given that this is not something that is accustomed to getting from her fellow cast member — at all. Typically they work out well with each other in groups, but in the individual environment, they struggle a little bit more.
This sneak peek eventually does circle back to Phaedra and the bomb scare, which Kandi claims is her co-star making something into a much bigger deal than it actually was. From here, we’ve got a pretty funny joke about how Phaedra should be on “How to Get Away with Murder,” which probably is perfect when you consider that she, like Annalise Keating, is an attorney.
We definitely do hope that these two find a way to get along over the course of the upcoming episodes, but by this point we’ve certainly comes to know better that this is not something that is just guaranteed to happen. There’s a lot of work that goes into it, and while they may have highs, we certainly have our suspicions that there are still going to be low points, as well.
