‘Girl Meets World’ still not renewed for season 4 — the latest facts

Girl Meets World -

We’re back yet again with our latest “Girl Meets World” article on a Friday, reminding you yet again that there is (regrettably) no new episode of the series airing on the Disney Channel tonight. As for the reasoning behind that it’s because there are only a few more episodes this season, and the show’s already aired its Christmas Special “Girl Meets a Christmas Maya.” Therefore, there’s not much of a point in them flipping back and suddenly giving you episodes themed around something else before the holidays are over.

For now, we want to do our best to sift through much of the garbage on the internet. “Girl Meets World” has not been canceled, those rumors are not true; however, it also has not been renewed for a season 4 yet. The #SaveGMW campaign is still going strong, and hopefully it will continue throughout the holidays so the network knows just how much this show means to it’s fans. The biggest reason we are driving this point home is because anytime you Google the show these days, you get countless results saying “Girl Meets World cancellation” and other similar nonsense in article titles and that’s simply not true.  It feels like a cruel trick to convince fans to click the article and read the same stuff you already knew. (The same goes for some of those false rumors about discord in the cast.) It’s for these reasons that there is a feeling of wider skepticism about the media in 2016, but that’s a different topic for a different day.

We recommend that if you want to see the show come back on the air is to continue to support the effort online, let your friends and family know, and post your own reasons why you want the show to come back. One of the great examples of a personal note to inspire more movement in the campaign is the one written below by Cheryl Texiera, who plays Maya’s mother Katy on the series.
