‘Game of Thrones’ season 7: Sophie Turner – Maisie Williams sightings in new HBO promo

There are some people out there boasting that there is a new trailer out there for “Game of Thrones” season 7, and like most things with the internet seemingly these days, that’s not even remotely true … even if it’d be rather cool of it was.

Instead, here’s what really happened. Last night, HBO aired prior to the latest episode of “Westworld” a short promo featuring much of their 2017 programming, and it included some brief footage for the upcoming season of the show — super-brief. There were a couple of images that you could isolate, but they’re not high-quality and they can be mostly described as this: A Stark family reunion in the north!

We already know that Jon Snow (Kit Harington) has himself a new title in the wake of what happened at the Battle of the Bastards, and that Sansa (Sophie Turner) is up there with him. It also now seems as though Arya (Maisie Williams) is getting set to join the two after she got away from Braavos at the end of season 6 and came back to kill Walder Frey in its closing minutes. Now that this name is checked off her list, maybe she’s going to take advantage of an opportunity to no longer isolate herself from the world.

As for what’s coming next in the north, we imagine that stopping the White Walkers will be top priority, even if there are some major complications going down at King’s Landing courtesy of Cersei Lannister now sitting on the Iron Throne. Eventually, we could see them getting involved there, but our feeling for now is that Daenerys and the rest of her crew could be concentrated more on the south given the allegiances that are being forged in Dorne. If they can also get the north working with them, then they may be able to surround King’s Landing and seize the throne in a more domineering fashion.
