Is ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2, episode 7 new tonight? More Rip Hunter news

LegendsLet’s kick off this “Legends of Tomorrow” story by getting the bad news out of the way: There is no episode airing on The CW tonight. Can you really be that shocked? It’s Thanksgiving! This is hardly the time in which you would think that anyone would want to air new installments, so we’re not exactly surprised that they would want to go off the air.

Of course, there is still a lot to look forward to when it comes to the future of the show this season. For one, next week you’re going to have the epic conclusion to the crossover between this show, “Supergirl,” “Arrow,” and “The Flash,” and there’s already a lot that has been said about the show already. If you didn’t get a chance to see the new trailer for that just yet, we recommend that you head over to this link to see that next.

Beyond that, the winter finale in early December is going to be the show’s first opportunity to completely assemble the Legion of Doom; Malcolm Merlyn and Captain Cold will debut on the show for the first time, and hopefully we’ll get a sense from them as to what the remainder of the season is going to look like.

Bonus scoop – Eventually, Rip Hunter will be back — but there will be a twist to it. Speaking per Cinema Blend, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, who is playing the new incarnation of Vixen, made her thoughts pretty clear on the subject of an eventual Rip return to the series:

“He does come back, just not necessarily the Rip that we remember. That’s sort of what is a big part of the second half of the season.”

No matter how he comes back, it’ll be hard to see how he fits into the current world of the show given that Sara Lance is firmly cemented now as the team lead, and she’s doing a very good job of keeping the group together.
