‘The Walking Dead’ season 7, episode 6 preview: ‘Swear’ … and Tara’s return?

twdSometimes, we know at least a few things regarding an episode of “The Walking Dead” before it not only airs, but also before we see a promo for it. On this particular occasion, though, we cannot say that we know much of anything at all beyond the most minor of details.

Let’s start off here by discussing the episode title for the occasion in “Swear.” That can mean so many different things. The most obvious meaning of it is an assurance or a promise, though to us, people who say “swear” rather than “promise” are making such an agreement out of desperation, almost as though there is some sort of collateral damage in the event that they break it. Another possible meaning could mean a swear world — you know, the sort of thing that Negan often utters?

The official synopsis via TV Guide doesn’t offer up many clues, though it does make it clear that we will see a familiar face in an unfamiliar territory as one of the real narrative touchstones of this story:

“A familiar face stumbles upon a brand new society. Their rules, location and setup are unlike anything that has been seen before.”

This premise alone is going to have to be your main source of excitement, at least until we see the promo and we’ve got a little more to add here in terms of the overall story. One thing that we will add to this for the time being is a reminder that this episode will be running for around 71 minutes, so keep that in mind while making some of your future plans. (This is one of many episodes this season that is running past an hour.

Promo – Tara is back! But, is this for next week’s episode? The thing that’s funny is that this preview doesn’t indicate if she is in next week’s episode or not — this is about “the episode’s to come.” Take it with a grain of salt, but there’s exciting things ahead!
