‘Supernatural’ season 12 spoilers: First news on big winter finale!
While we’ve seen the story of “Supernatural” bounce around onto a couple of different topics over the course of season 12 so far, it looks as though there is one major focus for the upcoming winter finale coming your way on Thursday, December 8: Lucifer. The character will be inhabiting a rock god in Vince Vicente in the next new episode entitled “Rock Never Dies,” but moving into “Lotus,” he’ll be potentially playing someone else entirely: The President of the United States?
While we don’t know for certain if this is the case, we like to this that the title is a play on “POTUS” to mean “Lucifer of the United States.” The synopsis below immediately has us intrigued as to what precisely could be coming up next for many of these key characters given the crazy world that they’re a part of:
“Lucifer’s search for power and influence in a vessel lands him in the White House. The President of The United States (guest star David Chisum) unknowingly makes a deal with the devil, leading Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles), Castiel (Misha Collins), Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard) and Rowena (guest star Ruth Connell) to band together to fight the Dark Lord.”
The most exciting thing to us about this episode is just that this could be one of those rare occasions in which almost everyone is unified among the show’s key players with a common goal. That’s not something we get particularly often, and we’re happy to have that here. Also, we do wonder what happens if Lucifer gets away from this situation. Who does he decide to target at this point who is even more powerful than the President? It doesn’t seem like there’s a stronger vessel out there.
