‘Chicago PD’ season 4, episode 9 preview: When will Sophia Bush, cast return to TV?
Tonight’s “Chicago PD” is a two-hour, two-episode event that takes on some really difficult cases, including one where the target could be put firmly on members of the force. It’s the sort of painful ripped-from-the-headlines story that you never quite want to see, but it’s understandable why the show would want to venture into this territory.
Also, tonight’s going to mark a key turning point for the Antonio character as the cast for “Chicago Justice” starts to come together. For the time being, we don’t want to say more on that — there’ll be plenty coming up in our review tonight!
So when is “Chicago PD” going to come back with more stories for Sophia Bush, Jason Beghe, and the rest of the cast? We thought going in that NBC was going to be bringing the show back on January 4, but instead it turns out that they’re actually starting it on January 3 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern with a two-hour event that will be helping to kick off “Chicago Justice.” Following that, we’ll see what happens when it comes to the timeslot. We do personally like the show on Wednesday nights, so we shall see!
There aren’t too many details available just yet on the future of the show beyond what is already out there, but if you missed it, earlier this week it did break that “Revenge” alum Nick Wechsler is going to be appearing on a recurring basis as a character with ties to Voight’s past, and someone who hopefully will help to balance things out following the move of Antonio over to the new show. There’ll more than likely be many crossovers, so you’ll still have a great opportunity to see him.
Come back later tonight, as we’re going to have reviews of both of these episodes coming up over at the link here. (Photo: NBC.)
