‘Ink Master’ season 8, episode 13 video: Did Nikki make the right skull-pick?

Nikki -After a week more or less of the air due to the Presidential Election (there was an interview special, but there wasn’t really any progress made in the season), “Ink Master” will be returning to Spike on Tuesday with a new episode. Rejoice! We’re sure that many people needed its own unique brand of escapism (i.e. watching tattoo artists argue with each other), and it should prove to be very nice to dive back into that in a big way tonight.

In the sneak peek below, we do have something that should prove interesting in a couple of different ways. First things first, this looks on paper to be a really interesting Flash Challenge, one where you use bricks to create an image that is meant to show accuracy. (Is it just us, or do many of these themes start to blend together at this point?)

From here, things get rather interesting from a strategic standpoint given that Nikki has an opportunity to even disperse all the remaining women across the different teams, which ensures that no matter what happened, there is a woman there in order to properly ensure that the other women do not get targeted. However, she opts not to pair everyone up in that way, meaning that there is a team of two men who, if they win, could really try to split up the alliance and make matters really difficult on them.

For the time being, it’s probably not the right move to read all that much in this given that this could be a red herring; the guys could lose, and even if they do win and have the skull pick, you still gotta think that there is a reasonably good chance that we end up seeing the ladies rise to the occasion. There is certainly enough evidence out there for us to know that getting the worst tattoo during the elimination challenge is hardly a death sentence.
