‘Planet Earth II’ episode 2 video: Watch two minutes of dancing bears
Hey, we know that it’s a pretty stressful time in the world right now, so we all need a break here and there to be able to kick back, relax, and watch some bears break it down to “Jungle Boogie.” Isn’t that what “Planet Earth II” is for? We like to think so, at least in this instance.
In the video below, you can see the master editors over at BBC Earth figuring out a way in which to create a ridiculously entertaining video out of breathtaking video footage of bears — it does genuinely look like we’re dancing at times! There’s nothing complicated to say here, but we do find it particularly enjoyable.
As for what makes this particularly relevant to today, “Planet Earth II” is currently in the midst of its run on BBC One in Great Britain, with the latest episode airing on Sunday evening featuring these said bears. We’re not sure that “Jungle Boogie” is a part of it, but there will be some breathtaking footage and narration as the entire second episode is set around mountain wildlife. If you are an animal lover or someone who really just wants to test out the visual power of your television, there’s no better showcase you’re going to find. They also waited so long between “Planet Earth 1” and this new series that it increased the demand tenfold.
For those of you American readers, do not fret — you will get a chance to watch all of this play out on TV. Unfortunately, it’s not coming to BBC America until the new year. We wish we understood some of those delays on British television better, but we’re still grateful that it will be migrating over in due time.
For now, though, don’t stress — just watch the bears and enjoy. They’re probably better than a few people we’ve seen on “Dancing with the Stars” over the years. (Photo: BBC One.)
